As Forstgut Eickhof, we understand sustainable development as a responsibility – towards nature, society and future generations. Our goal is to rethink formerly contaminated or infrastructurally pre-utilized sites, develop them strategically and enhance them. This is how we create space for (re)new(able) energy that is ecologically sensible and at the same time makes a measurable contribution to the energy transition. We pursue a holistic approach: from the initial idea through planning development to long-term use. Our projects combine renewable energy generation with sustainable land use and regional value creation.
Wind Power – Energy from Responsibility
Wind energy is a central building block of our strategy. At suitable locations, we develop projects with moderation and in dialogue with municipalities and authorities.

These projects exemplify our claim to realize efficient wind turbines where they are ecologically and planning-wise sensible.
Photovoltaics – Solar Energy Sustainably Utilized
Photovoltaics also plays a decisive role for us in transforming areas towards a sustainable future.
- Clausthal-Zellerfeld – in operation since 2021, approx. 20 ha
- Geesthacht – establishment resolution for development plan/FNP, approx. 30 ha
Our PV projects show how formerly used or contaminated areas can be transformed into productive energy sites in the long term.
Battery Storage – Rethinking Energy
Renewable energy needs storage solutions. That's why we consistently supplement our generation projects with high-performance battery storage.
- Geesthacht – establishment resolution for development plan/FNP, battery storage with up to 300 MW
With this storage infrastructure, we make an important contribution to grid stability and the efficient use of renewable energy.
